Sharwood, owned by Fish4Dogs’ longstanding Breeder Club Member, Sue Mitchell has been shortlisted for the Kennel Club’s Hero Dog Award 2025.

The eight year old Gordon Setter is not only one of Fish4Dog’s biggest fans but he now holds the record for most donations to the Pet Blood Bank having donated a whopping 42 times! Sharwood has saved the lives of 168 dogs while promoting the charity’s outstanding work.

Pet Blood Bank is a UK charity set up to support vets by providing a blood service for pets, just like the one we have as humans.
They run donation sessions across the country where owners bring their much loved companions, just like Sharwood, to give blood. The blood is processed and stored ready to send out to vets whenever it is needed and they operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure blood is always available.

Sue and Sharwood now need our help to make sure they get as many votes as possible to ensure that Sharwood is crowned Kennel Club Hero Dog of the year for 2025.
