Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Omega-3 Fatty Acids are polyunsaturated fats. These are 'good' fats that are really good for your health, as well as that of your pooch.
The three main types of Omega-3 fatty acids are EPA, DHA and ALA.

EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid or Timnodonic Acid)

Found in seafood, EPA can help minimise the risk of joint pain and stiffness, keeping your dog happy and healthy.
The health benefits of EPA stem from its anti-inflamatory properties.

DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid or Cervonic Acid)

DHA is a major component of the brain, cerebral cortex, skin and eyes, meaning it appears to be beneficial for eye and brain growth, which is perfect for growing pups

ALA (Alpha-Linolenic Acid)

ALA is a shart-chain omega-3 fatty acid that can be found in nuts, seeds and plants.
Whilst Omega-3 fatty acids can be found in plants and seeds in the form of ALA (Alpha-Linolenic Acid), EPA and DHA can be used by the body more easily, reducing waste and strain on the body.

Omega-3 Fatty acids can be found in our range of Grain Free Dry Dog Food and Salmon Oil
