Fish4Dogs Salmon Oil is a natural pet supplement made from the finest Norwegian salmon.

Our oil is rich in marine sourced Omega-3, which really matters.
The Omega-3 found in plant oils (ALA - alpha-linolenic acid) has to be converted by your dog's body into EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) before it can do anything useful.
Dogs' bodies aren't great at converting ALA into the active forms of Omega-3, in fact, studies suggest only 5-10% of ALA eventually becomes usable in mammals.

By using only high-quality salmon oil, we skip this step entirely and the Omega-3 can get to work straight away.

Omega-3 fatty acids deliver many health and immune system benefits for your dog. These fatty acids are known to help with;

  • Hydrating dry, itchy skin
  • Aiding joint mobility
  • Soothing cracked paws
  • Maintaining a lustrous, glossy coat

Fish4Dogs oil is sustainably sourced from the cool, clean waters of Norway and uses zero artificial additives or preservatives.
The only thing we add is a touch of tocopherol (vitamin E) to protect the Omega-3 from oxidisation.

Salmon Oil is used in addition to usual food, simply drizzled over the top or mixed in.
It can also help with particularly fussy dogs since it has a scent and flavour that dogs adore!

This is a complementary pet food for adult dogs.

Frequently Asked Questions

That depends on your dog's size. For small dogs, start with up to 1 teaspoon per day. Medium dogs can have up to 2 teaspoons, and large dogs up to 3. To help your dog adjust, we recommend you start at the lower end of the range and build up gradually over a week or two.

Yes! Too much salmon oil can cause loose stools, weight gain and tummy discomfort. Make sure to stick to the recommended daily amount for your dog's size and don't combine multiple Omega-3 supplements without speaking to your vet.

Yes, in fact, that's what it's designed for! Omega fatty acids build up in the body over time, so a teaspoon or two daily is more effective than a large dose once a week.

Yes! DHA in particular is really important for brain and eye development in the first year. Just make sure to use a smaller dose - 1/2 a teaspoon for smaller breeds and up to 1 for larger breeds. Check with your vet if your puppy is under 12 weeks.

Salmon oil is significantly better suited to dogs. Flaxseed contains ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), a plant-based Omega-3 that has to be converted by the body into EPA and DHA before it can be used. Dogs aren't great at doing this, so most of the fatty acids never reach the form that dogs need to see results. Salmon oil contains EPA and DHA already in their active forms.
